Life

I just wanted to kind of give an update on a few fun things that have been going on in our lives. I finally have a new calling in my ward. I have been doing the Activities for Achievement days for the 8-11 year olds and that has been fun, but it has been almost three years since I started this calling. I love all the little girls, but I asked the bishop if I could have a change. So I got a fun change of being the 2nd counseler in the Young Women's presidency. I am in charge of the Beehives and we don't have advisors, so it will be a challenging calling. I just hope that I can do an okay job. I think that heavenly father is testing me or something.
We find out tomorrow what we are having, so check out my blog tomorrow afternoon sometime. I will let everyone know. One thing I am bummed about is that my Mom ended up staying in Florida another week, because my sister decided to experiment on my Mothers ankle that has screws in it and she can't walk very well on it. She had something injected in her ankle and it was very painful and she hasn't been able to put her full weight on her foot since. She is supposed to fly to Salt Lake tonight, but she won't come home until tomorrow after my ultrasound. My mother-in-law is in school tomorrow and my husband will be in classes, so I have to go to my ultrasound by myself and I am a little upset about it. I am however happy about seeing the baby and checking to make sure everything is growing the way it is supposed to. Keep us in your prayers.
I am finally over being sick. I haven't lost my cookies since Christmas, but everyonce in a while I smell something awful and I almost lose it. Other than that I feel pretty good.
Kirk did awesome last semester in school. He got straight A's and he received a 100% on his Organic Chemistry final. I am really proud of him. Kirk is still unsure of a career, I hope he decides soon.
Calista is just getting bigger and smarter. I accidently taught her the words "shut up", oops. I feel like a horrible Mom. I was talking to Kirk and I told him to shut up and she was right there. So of course she repeated. She hasn't said it since then, that I know of anyway. She is starting to love to color and she knows most colors and sometimes she forgets. She also has been singing "Once there was a snow man" all the time. She loves it. She also sings the sunbeam song. It is really funny because she skips most of the words, but does the actions. I love it, she makes me laugh a lot.
Well that is what has been going on in our lives. We are pretty boring. We just work and go to church. That is my life. Busy busy busy.

Life

I have been a slacker and have kind of avoided posting anything. I just wanted to give everyone an update on whats been going on in our lives. Kirk is going to school and studying a lot. He also watches Calista most of the time. My Mom has been helping out a lot. Have I mentioned how wonderful my Mother is? She is the best! She drives down from Blackfoot on Tuesday's and Thursdays and every other Friday to watch Calista for me. She has been my saint. I have a friend in the ward, her name is Ellen Tatton who watches Calista on Monday and Wednesday each week for a couple of hours while Kirk has class and I am stuck at my job all day. We have been blessed.
Last night was fun and I wanted to share it with friends and family. My calling is Achievement days and so Tuesday nights are my activity night and I have way too much fun with this calling. So I wanted to talk to the girls about being modest and clean. So I dressed in one of my tank tops that I normally wear under shirts, but I wore it without my garment top and I also wore some shorts and I rolled them up and had my garments haning out a little bit and then I was chewing a huge piece of gum and twirling it around my finger and to top it off I took some spaghetti sauce and put it around my mouth on my face so I looked really sloppy and gross. It was pretty funny and those girls thought I was crazy. They at first just looked at me funny and didn't say anything. Then they started asking why I was dressed the way I was and what I had on my face, because I looked gross. It was great! Just the reaction I wanted and it was a nice discussion on modesty and cleanliness. It was a good night.
Calista has been growing up so fast, she is finally starting to remember and sing songs. We were singing "Row, row, row your boat" in the bath tub the other night and I had no idea that she new all the words. She sang them all by herself. It was awesome. It is a fun feeling when your kids all of a sudden just get something and they are so proud of themselves.
I can't wait until this weekend, because my Mom and Paul and Kristen and their kids and me and Calista are all going to Utah. We are going to go to Lagoon on Friday night for Frightmares. Then Saturday we are going to go to some museums and shopping and just hang out. I haven't had a fun weekend like this in a very long time, so I am very excited. Kirk thinks I am crazy, but he wanted to stay home and work, so I think he is crazy. He hates going in the car on trips with my Mom and me. Especially when he drives, because my Mom and I always gang up on him, which by the way we don't do on purpose. It just happens sometimes. So if we ever go to Utah I usually drive. Plus I know the area a little better than he does.
Have a great day everybody who reads this.
